2. BPR – Batch Packaging Record

• A GMP document that describes how to pack a specific product batch.
• It is the master instructions + evidence of what happened during packaging.

Typical contents:

• Product name, strength, dosage form
• Batch number, pack size, and configuration (e.g. 10’s blister, 60’s bottle)
• Printed component details (cartons, foils, labels, inserts) with codes
• Overprinting details (batch no., mfg/exp date, MRP where applicable)
• Line clearance details
• Step-by-step packaging instructions (blistering, bottling, labelling, cartoning, shipper packing)
• In-process checks (print checks, leak test, weight variation for bottles, reconciliation)
• Reconciliation of printed & packaging components
• Signatures of production / IPQA in relevant stages
